Man struck by train at 28th Street station in Manhattan, trains delayed: MTA

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man was struck by a train at the 28th Street station in Manhattan on Wednesday, according to the MTA.

A man was lying down on the tracks around 4 p.m., according to police. The train conductor did not see the man on the tracks. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Additional information on how the man got onto the subway tracks was not immediately available. However, police said they do not suspect any criminal activity.

The MTA announced on social media that the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 trains in both directions are delayed.
