Glens Falls man indicted for attempted murder
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Glens Falls Police Department announced that additional charges have been filed in connection to a shooting incident that took place earlier this year near North Pearl Street. The defendant, Paris Pettiford, 38, was initially arrested on January 26.
On January 24 at 6:02 p.m., police responded to the report of a man with gunshot wounds near the corner of North Pearl Street and Lawrence Street. Upon arrival, officers located the wounded victim as well as bullet casings near the scene.
The victim was taken to Glens Falls Hospital and was later transported to Albany Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Police say Pettiford was identified as a suspect in the incident and was arrested in January on weapon and drug charges.
Further investigation into the shooting resulted in Pettiford being indicted by the Warren County Grand Jury and arrested. He was arraigned in the Warren County Court on March 29 on the following charges:

- Second-degree attempted murder
- Two counts of first-degree assault
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Pettiford was remanded to the Warren County Jail with bail set at $200,000 or $600,000 bond.
