Some Democrats have hoped to frame the upcoming 2024 elections as a referendum on the supreme Court's 6-3 ruling in the Dobbs case in 2022. But the strong language about abortion in the Vatican's new 2024 document may encourage conservative anti-abortion American Catholics not to vote for the liberal Catholic President Biden -- and perhaps not to vote for any Democratic candidates up for election.
