COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The South Colonie Board of Education announced the appointment of William Behrle as Colonie Central High School's next executive principal. The designation will coincide with the promotion of the school's current principal, Thomas Kachadurian, to the role of Assistant Superintendent for Instruction effective in July.
Behrle comes to South Colonie from Coxsackie-Athens, having served as their high school principal since 2021. His extensive experience and dedication to student success make him the ideal candidate to lead Colonie Central High School into the future," said Superintendent David Perry. "We look forward to welcoming Bill and working alongside him as he transitions to this new role."
"I am excited about the opportunity to serve as executive principal of CCHS," said Behrle. "I firmly believe that a collaborative approach among teachers, parents, and administrators is essential for creating a supportive school community where every student can reach their full potential. I look forward to collaborating with the team to continue fostering a culture of mutual respect and academic excellence."
Behrle's appointment was approved in a recent meeting of the Board of Education. He is scheduled to assume the duties of his new role on July 1.
