Maryland State Police have identified the two men killed in a crash Thursday morning in Harford County.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash at Route 165 on St. Mary’s Road in Pylesville shortly before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A 2014 Chevy Equinox crossed over from the southbound lane into the northbound lane of traffic for unknown reasons and crashed head-on into Toyota Tacoma, Maryland State Police said in a news release.

Matthew Rockstroh, 36, of Dundalk, was the driver of the Chevy. Bryan Frei, 44, of Jarrettsville, was the driver of the Toyota.

Both were declared dead on the scene by Harford County emergency medical services personnel. There were no other passengers in the vehicles, the release said.

Route 165 was closed in both directions for about five hours following the crash.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
