Tickets for Schools wings its way to Maidenhill Primary

0

Maidenhill Primary School were visited by Queen’s Park’s speedy winger Rocco Hickey-Fugaccia to welcome them as Scotland’s oldest club’s latest ‘Tickets for Schools’ partner and invite them to Saturday’s game with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

As part of the ‘Tickets for Schools’ initiative the pupils from the Newton Mearns school will be transported to and from the match at The National Stadium at Hampden by bus as part of Queen’s Park’s relationship with McDade’s Coaches.

As well as the school and the club benefitting from having transport laid on, Rocco handed over Black and White Hooped scarves as well as Queen’s Park T-shirts and the all-important Match Tickets.

Rocco, who joined the club last summer from Livingston, did more than just visit and provide the gifts and tickets as he was the subject of a Question-and-Answer session with the pupils who are coming along.

“It was great to be asked to visit Maidenhill,” said Rocco before adding: “And it was great to hear of their interest in coming to see Queen’s Park against Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The children were enthusiastic and the questions they asked me were well thought out and well researched.”

“I am sure the Maidenhill pupils will make themselves heard at Hampden. It is a big game, and it is great that we will have their extra support.”

Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial at Queen’s Park said: “We have had terrific support for our ‘Tickets for Schools’ Programme both from within inside the club and from the local school community.”
