Bo (@dadadvicefrombo) filmed himself discussing his hacks in a viral video on TikTok.

His video came just in time for spring, when plants are growing at warp speed.

Bo added that with his lawn mower currently undergoing repairs, he was inspired to share his wisdom on keeping a pristine yard.

He spilled his three top tips to make lawn care easier than ever.

FILL IT IN

Bo addressed a common issue for those maintaining their outdoor area — dips and otherwise lower spots.

He recommended using a sand and dirt mixture to fill in the depressed areas.

He specified that the mixture is called Clay Breaker in his region.

A bag of Clay Breaker is available from home renovation stores like Lowe’s, $4.58.

ROGAINE FOR LAWNS

Bo also gave some key advice to filling in any sparse patches that occur on the lawn.

“If you have bare spots in your lawn that you want to fill in with new grass, make sure you rough up the dirt first,” he said.

“[Then] add the grass seed, then cover it with a light layer of new dirt after you mow.”

He demonstrated the hack for the camera, making his lawn look fresher than ever.

CUTTING THE GRASS

Bo recommended paying extra care to the details to measure the health of any lawn.

He even went as far as to examine the blades of grass to be certain that it is an optimal environment to grow.

He emphasized the need to look at the ends of the grass for an either “ripped” or clean cut look.

The lawn pro recommended that if blades of grass appear as if they’ve been ripped off instead of shaved off, it may be time to replace lawn mower blades.

He also added that blades could be sharpened as a first course of action.

ON THE LAWN

The video drew in many viewers who weighed in on the father’s lawn advice.

“Thanks, dad,” one wrote. “Super helpful and easy to do.”

“First time home owners enjoying their first spring season — thank you. I needed to know all these things,” another added.

“My hubby and I just moved into a new place and holy moly the lawn needs some work,” said a third.
