Baby owl who fell from tree rescued in Troy
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy City Hall commended the work of Troy Animal Control Officer Kevin McDonough for his efforts in rescuing a baby owl that fell out of a tree on Thursday afternoon. The owl was brought to safety after being found near Sherman Avenue and Sterling Avenue.
Crews were unable to find the owl's nest after searching through trees in the area. The baby owl was turned over to the care of North Country Wild Care, a nonprofit that works in tandem with the Department of Environmental Conservation.
