NYPD tells cops to curb parking on public sidewalks near precincts

The NYPD is instructing its officers to curtail what is known as “combat parking” – the practice of jamming public sidewalks with vehicles outside its 77 station houses -- in the wake of a highly critical city report, The Post has learned.
