Jim Nantz delivered a fantastic call for Scottie Scheffler's huge eagle on Day 3 of The Masters
As golfer Scottie Scheffler pulled off an eagle on the 13th hole to tie for the lead on the 2024 Masters’ third day of play, broadcaster Jim Nantz knew exactly how to call it.
The momentum-shifting putt sparked the lone eagle in Augusta so far on Saturday, and Nantz got as excited as everyone at home for Scheffler to knock in the ball and regaining his standing on the top of the leaderboard.
The enthusiasm quickly growing in Nantz’s voice is exactly why he’s a Masters weekend staple, as we can’t imagine huge moments like this without someone like Nantz calling them.

As of publishing, Scheffler was tied with golfer Collin Morikawa atop this year’s Masters both at -6 on the competition. Golfer Max Homa and Ludvig Åberg were right behind them at -5.
We’ll see who pulls ahead for Sunday’s final showdown in Augusta, one that should feature plenty of dramatics that will spark some great calls from Nantz and company.
