'Mike Johnson thinks Trump is a hardened criminal': Analyst breaks down press conference
"MAGA" Mike Johnson secretly thinks Donald Trump is a "hardened criminal," according to a body language analyst who broke down the Republicans' recent press conference.
Dr. Jack Brown, who previously analyzed the GOP debaters and found them presenting "insincerity and chronic deception," noted that
Brown then highlighted moments during the press conference that stood out to him. One in particular is "a deeply revealing body language tell" from the Speaker.
"While blaming President Biden, Mike Johnson said, '...to invite everybody from around the world to come here, including hardened criminals and dangerous persons and the result, we all know' – he gestured with his left hand, thumb-pointing directly and obviously at Donald Trump," Brown wrote in his body analysis. "Johnson also simultaneously turned his head-neck, and subtly, with his torso – to look in Trump's direction."
According to Brown, the "backwards Thumb Point is but one example of a body language dynamic known as an Emblematic Slip."
"'Emblematic' because it's a widely-understood/nearly or even universal body language behavior," he added. "'Slip' because it's generated by and displayed subconsciously."
He continued:
"Not only was Johnson pointing at Trump when he said 'hardened criminals' (i.e., 'here's a hardened criminal'), but the act of gesturing backwards with one's thumb carries with it an additional layer of negative accusation," he wrote Friday. "When the body language and the verbal language are not in agreement, it's the body language that always tells the truth."
