DBR Podcast #622 - Farewell To Flip, Jared, And Jaylen

Three guys we’re going to miss a lot.

It is with a heavy heart, but with clear eyes, that the Duke Basketball Roundup says goodbye to Jared McCain, Kyle Filipowski, and Jaylen Blakes. Flip and Mac both declared for the NBA draft on Friday and seem destined to go somewhere around the late lottery. They stand to make millions of dollars and leave behind a legacy of inspiring play that led Duke to great heights.

And Jaylen Blakes, who has performed the remarkable feat of graduating from Duke in just three years, now enters the NCAA transfer portal in search of a larger role on a different team in his final year of eligibility.

We will miss all three of them oh so much and be rooting for them to succeed beyond their dreams wherever they go next.
