• This, and I don’t say this lightly, is the most important thing that has ever happened.

• All Mariners hitters are instructed to throw one of their bats into the car fire. Sacrifices must be made.

• Everybody is agonizing over the Mariners offense, but they’re failing to realize that the really good hitters are in Arkansas and Modesto.

• Braves ace Spencer Strider underwent surgery to repair his UCL yesterday and will miss the rest of the season. Strider did not have Tommy John surgery, an operation he had back in 2019 while pitching for Clemson, instead having an internal brace installed. The operation has a shorter recovery period, and barring any setbacks, Strider should be back in the Braves rotation to start 2025.
• This fit is so iconic the city of Philadelphia might commission a statue of her.

• The sell there by the second baseman is unparalleled. I think the only person on the field that didn’t fall for it was the umpire, who didn’t let that baseball out of his sight for even a single second during that exchange.

• Never a good day at work when you go home with a nut injury.

• The opposing defense in four straight at-bats when you need an extra base-hit in a Topps Now moment.
