A Body Language Expert Revealed Where Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Marriage Stands Amid High-Profile Polo Kiss
For better or worse, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been making headlines for everything they did this past week in Florida, specifically at Wellington, Florida, for the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Challenge. They arrived because Sentebale is the founation Harry founded that raises money for children impacted by HIV in Botswana and Lesotho; and they were filming for their upcoming polo series for Netflix. And amid this event, the pair shared a passionate PDA moment, and a body language expert is breaking down exactly what that kiss meant.
Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that the kiss may have given fans a glimpse into how their marriage is years later. Hint: they’re more in love than ever!
“Back in 2018 Harry, looking all fired-up and full of passion after hammering around on the polo field, planted a very sexy kiss on Meghan’s lips, giving the kiss a ‘get a room!’ quality,” James said about their first polo match in 2018. “His expression was serious and he looked lost in the moment as he turned his head but kept his torso facing front. Meghan tilted her head back in the same neck-baring gesture of submission that [Princess] Diana used when she kissed [King] Charles on their wedding day. The polo trophy looked irrelevant and they almost had to be reminded it was supposed to be handed over.”
But in 2024? The PDA has changed up quite a bit! James said their most recent kiss “shows the love is still there but it is a much sweeter, more fun PDA.”
“The side view of their faces shows both have raised and rounded cheeks here, making it a smiling kiss that suggests good humour and higher levels of sociability than they showed when they appeared lost in the moment back in 2018,” she said. “It’s Harry craning his neck here and Meghan’s heels make her able to kiss at a more even angle. The body language is more mirrored here, illustrating the levels of like-minded synchronicity that has grown over the years.”
The Sussexes are known for not shying away from PDA, and this latest moment shows their marriage is going swimmingly, despite what naysayers may say.
For those who don’t know, Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016, and by April 2018, they were married in a beautiful royal ceremony. They share two children together named Archie, born in May 2019, and Lilibet Diana, born in June 2021.
