Wood goes for first victory in Kelly Green and Gold

The Oakland Athletics (6-9) wrap-up a three-game interleague series with the Washington Nationals (6-8)) today at the Oakland Coliseum. This game gives the opportunity for the A’s to win their third straight series, and the first at home in 2024.

Lefty Alex Wood will take the mound for Mark Kotsay’s A’s. Wood, making his fourth start of the season is 0-1, with an 8.01 ERA. Wood crossed the Bay from San Francisco in February signing as a free agent. Righty Trevor Williams gets the start for the Nats today. Williams is 2-0 in his two starts this season with a 2.61 ERA.
