"Narendra Modi's guarantees are for both inside the country and outside," he said, adding the Indian government would be there for any Indian who was in trouble outside the country. Jaishankar said he was in touch with his counterparts in both Israel and Iran. "Our government has been urging both the parties to find a way to de-escalate the situation... India has a lot of trade interests, cargo routes and oil supply channels in the region," he said.
