Grayson Allen Gets Paid
Great news for the former Duke star who should be set for life.
Looks like former Duke Grayson Allen has found a nice NBA home: the Phoenix Suns have signed him to a four-year, $70 million dollar extension.
Allen is part of a solid core that the Suns can build on: Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.
It’s a great situation for Allen. There are plenty of offensive weapons to give him space to either shoot threes or drive and he took full advantage this season, shooting nearly 50 percent overall, 46.1 percent for threes and hitting a career high 13.5 ppg.
Phoenix’s window may be relatively short though. Durant has had a brilliant career, but he’s now 35 and seven players are 30 or above (Allen is now 28).
The Suns have enough talent to make a deep run in the playoffs this year if things go well. To borrow from the late George Allen, the future is now.
