The Indian government will conduct mandatory testing for ethylene oxide (ETO) contamination in its spice exports to Singapore and Hong Kong, following a ban on certain spices by Indian brands MDH and Everest. The move follows allegations of ETO presence in these spices. Spice consignments to other countries will also be monitored for ETO presence.
