I was fed up of pressure washing my patio to get rid of the dirt so I painted it for £18 & the transformation is amazing
IS your patio covered in black spots that you’ve wasted hours and a whole lot of money trying to remove?
Well, one savvy woman named Hannah Chapman decided to give up forking out on expensive products in a bid to clean her garden patio, and came up with an alternative solution instead.
Hannah has been flooded with praise after showing off her fresh-looking patio[/caption] The homeowner was fed up of trying to clean her filthy patio that was covered in black spots[/caption]Taking to Facebook group Gardening On A Budget Official, she shared several photos showing her filthy patio before and after the very impressive transformation.
And with such incredible results, it’s little surprise social media users were eager to know exactly what product she used – and luckily, Hannah revealed all.
“So I may have done a thing,” she said.
“I pressured washed all my slabs and have used every product under the sun to get rid of the black spot over the years.
“So I thought what the hell I will just paint them!”
She continued: “Yes I know it will be a yearly thing but I don’t mind as quite enjoyed doing it, and at least they will look nice throughout the rest of the year.”

Hannah went on to reveal that she used Johnstone’s Exterior Smooth Masonry Paint in shade Sandstone, which costs £12 from Amazon for 2.5l or £18 for 5lt tub.
Opting for the bigger pot, Hannah notes: “Still got over half left…it’s no fully dry yet, but love the result so far.”
The product has been specially formulated to give 15 years protection on exterior surfaces, including sound exterior brickwork, stone, concrete, pebbledash, roughcast rendering and other similar surfaces.
Plus, the smooth weather resisting finish claims to help prevent dirt accumulation, resist flaking and allows for surface expansion and contraction.
And she wasn’t the only one, with other gardening fans quick to praise the savvy homeowner’s efforts.
“Love them, loads better…well done,” enthused one.
“Wow love it!” a second penned.
