Arvinder Singh Lovely has resigned as the chief of the Congress' Delhi unit and has not joined any other political party. He cited the compromise of Congress workers' ideals and the party's tie-up with the AAP in Delhi for the Lok Sabha polls as reasons for his resignation. The Delhi Congress unit was against the alliance, but the party high command went ahead with it.
