4 million US workers granted overtime pay by new Biden rule

WASHINGTON, D.C.: This week, the administration of President Joe Biden announced a new Department of Labor rule that will extend mandatory overtime pay to some four million U.S. workers.

The rule will require employers to pay overtime premiums to workers who earn a weekly salary of less than US$1,128, equivalent to around $58,600 annually, if they work more than 40 hours per week.
