ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Halfway there, everyone. Happy Wednesday and happy May! According to Meteorologist Matt Mackie, we can expect temperatures in the low 70s with a few stray sprinkles after a cloudy start to the morning.

The father of the UAlbany student hit by a dirt bike is speaking out. Alexa Kropf was put into a medically induced coma following the accident, suffering multiple fractures and head trauma. 1. Father of UAlbany student hit by dirt bike speaks out

Just after midnight a crowd of students were gathered on the 400 block of Hudson Avenue in Albany. Police say a dirt bike operator started weaving through the crowd of students when he struck 18-year-old Alexa Kropf, sending her flying through the air.  She was left on the road while the dirt bike operator fled the scene. The young student is at Albany Medical Center with multiple fractures and head trauma.

2. Central Warehouse demolition expected to cost over $12M

The price tag for demolition of the Central Warehouse building in the city of Albany is expected to cost between $12.5 million and $13 million, according to Albany County. The county is finalizing a request for state money for the demolition through the RestoreNY grant program.

3. NYRA, Rivers Casino and Resort announce partnership

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) and Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady announced a new partnership, making Rivers Casino the official casino partner of the Saratoga Race Course and the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival. They will also be the presenting sponsor of the Grade 1, $750,000 New York.

4. State Police investigating Kinderhook crash

All lanes reopened after a crash investigation on US 9 between NY 9H in Kinderhook and Rapp Road South. State Police say a Chevrolet Silverado and Honda Accord crashed, leading to multiple injuries around 6:45 a.m.

5. Mariners force Game 7 with 2-1 victory over Thunder

The Maine Mariners defeated the Adirondack Thunder in Game 6 at Cool Insuring Arena on Tuesday night, 2-1, and forced a Game 7 on Wednesday in Glens Falls.
