And now major supermarket Tesco has sent its fans into a frenzy after slashing the price of stunning plants to under £1.

According to one delighted customer, Donna Reid, shoppers can now pick up different planters filled with soil and seed, perfect to give their dull lawns a vibrant glow-up without spending a fortune.

Whilst checking out the latest bargains at the store, Donna picked up a total of four of the metal buckets, two with gorgeous sunflowers and the other two with snapdragon.

The outdoor planters – selling for a mere 25p each – will not only add colour to your garden but also attract butterflies and bees, the latter being are incredibly important part of the planet’s ecosystems.

Although their buzzing may be annoying, we need bees to pollinate flowers and trees – which provide habitats for animals – as well as another important resource we couldn’t live without… food.

Unfortunately, bee populations have been declining all over the world due to a number of reasons, including pollution, pesticide use, as well as the loss of their habitats.

All chuffed with the purse-friendly finds, Donna wrote in her post: ”25p in Tesco last night.

”If plants don’t grow tins are fab,” she chuckled in the caption.

”There was strawberry plants too.”

Since being shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group – home to close to 2.5million bargain lovers – the post has taken the page by storm.

More than a whopping 255 people gave it a like, as dozens raced to comments to tag their pals and fellow green-fingered Facebook users.

One wondered if their friend could look out for the cut-price bargains for them.

”If any at yours, can you grab 2 of each sunflowers, strawberry and snapdragons please and thank you.”

Which flowers do bees like?

If you’re looking to create a welcoming environment for bees in your garden, one of the best ways is to make sure you’ve got flowers they like, according to the Woodland Trust website.

Therefore it’s a good idea to grow flowers from late winter to autumn, and all-year-round if you can, according to the Gardener’s World website.

Bees will favourable to a variety of flowering plants, including birds’s-foot trefoil, red clover, and foxglove.

Meanwhile, someone else who’d already got the buckets last season, was raving about the budget-friendly gardening essential.

”I got the same things at Asda last year. Planted them a few weeks ago and they’ve all grown fine.

”Most of the seed packets inside said best before 2027.”

” I did, all mine are growing fine too,” a gardening super fan responded.

”We never get good bargains like this!” a shopper moaned.
