Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has claimed that the BJP-led NDA is on track to achieve its target of 400+ seats in the Lok Sabha. He highlighted the developments in Surat and Indore, where the BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal was elected unopposed after most others withdrew from contest. In Indore, the Congress candidate came out in support of the BJP, with opposition party nominee Akshay Bam withdrawing his nomination papers and switching sides.
