I’m a body positivity queen but everyone asks if I’m pregnant and I can’t bear it – I’m too scared to wear tight clothes
A SELF-DESCRIBED “body positive queen” has been left traumatised by people constantly asking if she’s pregnant.
Lauren explained that she’s always been confident in her curves, but that has started to falter due to the frequent blunders people have made, incorrectly assuming that she’s expecting.
In a video on her TikTok page, Lauren added that the mistakes have made her feel incredible self-conscious, and stopped her from wearing tight clothing.
The most recent error was made when Lauren and her fiance were in Detroit for the NFL American football draft – and it was the third time in just six months that the mistake had happened.
“I went under,” she sighed.
Lauren added that while she’s become able to “handle it a little bit better” these days, she always feels “so embarrassed”.
How To Pick The Best Travelling Outfit
The Sun's Deputy Fashion Editor has broken down essential travel attire to get from A to B in style.
Abby McHale says: “When it comes to deciding on what to wear to the airport several factors need to be taken into consideration.
“What the weather is like in the countries you’re travelling from and to, how long your flight is (as comfort is key) and how much luggage you are bringing with you.
“If you’re going from one climate to another then you’ll want to make sure you have layers, plus this may be your only option if you don’t have lots of space in your luggage.
“A light jacket over a T-shirt with a thin scarf or jumper in your bag in case the plane is cold would work.
“Also don’t forget your sunglasses, although the hot burst of air is lovely as you step off the plane, you’ll need your sunnies in your handbag.
“Bottoms-wise – go for something loose and comfortable, there are so many lovely pairs of wide-leg elasticated trousers around at the moment, look for fabrics such as linen that are nice and light for a stylish yet comfy look.
“Finishing off with accessories, trainers are the most practical option, however, flat sandals can also look lovely (just pop a pair of socks in your handbag for the plane), and a high cross-body bag is perfect for keeping all your important documents near to you.”
“Mainly because of how embarrassed they are,” she said.
And then she has to tell them that she’s not pregnant, she just “likes food”.
It was a man who made the mistake, and asked Lauren “So when’s the baby coming?”
When she said she wasn’t pregnant, her fiance tried to save the situation by saying the man had been making a comment about the baby Packers shirt she was wearing.
But Lauren added: “It’s so awkward. It’s awful. I’m sick of it.”
Lauren also said she’s become “really paranoid” about her outfit choices.
“And I am like the body positivity queen, and I can’t wear tight things,” she concluded.
“Make it stop, it’s SO awkward!” Lauren captioned the video.
“Don’t people know to NEVER ask if a woman is pregnant?” one person commented on the clip.
“Unless the baby’s crowning. And even then just ask if she needs a hand!”
“Who openly asks this kind of question?” another wondered.
“How does it keep on happening to you? You don’t even look pregnant!”
“It’s always on holidays when I’m bloated!!!” Lauren replied.
“You don’t even look pregnant!” a third commented.
“Please don’t let it get to you because of people being spiteful, you’re beautiful in and out.”
“How is this happening? Your figure is stunning!! Like stunning,” someone else insisted.
Lauren previously revealed in another TikTok video that she had been body-shamed at an all-you-can eat buffet on another holiday.
