Channel 4’s George Clarke issues desperate plea to fans as he reveals brand new primetime TV show
TV STAR George Clarke has issued a desperate plea to fans as he revealed a brand new primetime TV show.
Channel 4 have commissioned a string of new programmes for the personality to front on the network.
His first new show is titled Kitchens v Gardens and it will see him meet a selection of contributors who want to re-design their kitchen and garden.
George, 49, took to social media as he issued a plea for people to get in touch with him and the production company.
The post read: “George Clarke is looking for people keen to revamp their kitchens & gardens!
“Nothing adds more value and enjoyment to your home than turning up the style and improving the flow of your kitchen and garden.
“But if you’re not sure how to do it, what you want, where to spend the money and which space to prioritise – then George is here to help!”
He added: “His brand-new, exciting primetime TV show is looking for people who want to re-work their kitchens and gardens.”
“He’ll bring the professional expertise and all the creativity – you just need to provide the budget!”
The advert then gives an email address belonging to production company Plum Pictures for fans to get in touch with if they want to be part of the new programme.
His second six-part show is called George Clarke: Building Home which will see the architect travel all over the UK.
People who are planning ‘ambitious or emotional renovations’ will require his help and creative services to bring their projects to life.
It will follow and celebrate people like those ditching rented flats in the city to go to the country, those who want to move closer to family and friends and those young families wanting to build a more peaceful life for their kids.
It promises to celebrate the remote towns and villages of the UK as property owners return to those areas build their dream abode.
The commercial network also recommissioned his popular series, Old House New Home which shows the star helping to transform tired old houses into stunning luxury homes.
Reacting to the news, George said: “It’s 15 years since my first appearance on Channel 4 and what an amazing journey it’s been.
“As an architect and presenter, I’ve been lucky enough to visit, explore and even redesign some of the most unique homes and buildings all over the world, while making wonderful and inspiring TV programmes along the way.”
“I’m so excited about this new series where people are returning back to the places they grew up to put down new roots, while taking on an ambitious home-building project at the same time. It’s going to be life-changing stuff. There really is ‘no place like home’.”
