EU announces 1 bln euro in aid to Lebanon

BEIRUT, May 2 (Xinhua) -- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced Thursday a 1-billion-euro (about 1.07 billion U.S. dollars) financial assistance package for Lebanon from 2024 to 2027.
