Dry, mild Thursday around Portland, wet weekend ahead
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Thursday is expected to be the warmest day of the week around the Portland-Vancouver metro area.
Skies will slowly dry through the morning hours as mostly cloudy conditions remain. A few afternoon and evening sun breaks will help warm the Willamette Valley into the mid-60s. That warmer weather trend falls by the end of the week.
Rain accumulation is expected to near 0.25" by the end of the day Thursday. Most of that rain accumulation will build up before sunrise. Very little additional rain accumulation is expected after sunrise. A bit of patchy fog is possible during the morning commute as the skies dry and clouds slowly clear.
Another round of heavy rain and persistent rain is expected on Friday. That will drop temperatures a few degrees by Friday with highs sitting nearly 10-15 degrees below average by the weekend.
A soggy start to May will keep temperatures cooler than average into the middle of next week. The wet weather trend will likely impact outdoor activities this weekend.
