Every 2024 Kentucky Oaks horse name, ranked
With Friday’s annual Kentucky Oaks race set to commence at Churchill Downs in Louisville, it’s time to rank the names of all 14 fillies that will be competing.
Horse names can be a funky thing to rank, with some of them commanding instant respect and others making you wonder who the nerd was who thought it was a good idea to name a horse after a government budget committee.
We’ve gone through all 14 of the horses and ranked their names from dorky to dominant, and the contempt we have for the last-ranked name on this list makes us really feel bad for that horse, who should not be racing at the Kentucky Oaks and should instead be hanging out at the library on the weekend.
