The unique bags are used for spraying water on Lord Kallazhagar at ‘Theerthavari’. About 150 families of Kariapatti in Virudhunagar district buy the hide from the markets in Madurai, Virudhunagar, and Dindigul districts and start making the bags during the Tamil month of Thai.
