Brazen smash-and-grab theft inside Westfarms mall under investigation
Police are investigating a smash-and-grab theft at Westfarms mall in Farmington on Thursday.
Lt. Matthew S. Corcoran of the Farmington Police Department said officers responded to a smash-and-grab-type larceny that occurred inside the mall.
“The sound of the shattering glass startled shoppers, however, no weapons were involved or discharged during the incident and there is no threat to the community,” Corcoran said.
The incident remains under investigation, according to Corcoran.
No further information was released at this time.
