Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers to sit in with the Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest
NEW ORLEANS (KLFY) -- A legend of zydeco will share a stage with The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival tonight.
According to a post on their Facebook page, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers are sitting in with the Rolling Stones tonight in New Orleans.
The post reads: "(T)oday my New Orleans jazz fest started a lil early because I just rehearsed with the rollin stones who asked to have me be a part of the their show."
The Stones are scheduled to hit the Festival Stage at Jazz Fest tonight at 5 p.m.
"(T)his is a legendary Rock and Roll band I grew up listening to, and now to be playing on stage with them giving my zydeco feel to (their) music is just mind blowing and a True blessing," Dopsie posted.
Dopsie and the Hellraisers are no strangers to Jazz Fest. The band was nominated for a Grammy in 2024 for their album, "Live At The 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival."
