Louisiana man allegedly attempts to sexually assault victim near her child

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD)-- A Monroe man was arrested on charges of sexual assault after the victim alleged the attack happened with her child was present.

According to the Monroe Police Department, officers were dispatched to Barrington Drive on Wednesday in reference to a sexual disturbance investigation. When they arrived at the scene, they made contact with the 19-year-old female victim.

The victim stated that her cousin, Kenny Price, approached her with his pants off and allegedly masturbated. According to officers, the victim said that her infant child was beside her the entire time Price attempted to allegedly rape her. The victim advised Price allegedly mounted over as she was lying down on her bed in an attempt to remove her clothing to have sexual intercourse with her.

According to authorities, the victim stated Price continued to allegedly masturbate as he tried to force her clothes off. The victim advised she was able to escape Price and grabbed a bottle of pepper spray to spray him.

Price then attempted to flee the residence on foot. According to officers, they made contact with the suspect on Swayzee Street matching the description. Price was identified by his driver's license and advised of his rights per Miranda.

According to authorities, Price allegedly admitted to masturbating near the victim and was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Ouachita Correctional Center. Price was charged with First-Degree Rape.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
