Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya’s Form in IPL 2024 Big Worry – Irfan Pathan Cautions MI Stars Ahead of T20 World Cup

Kolkata: It was another heartbreaking day for Mumbai Indians, who lost yet another game in IPL 2024. Kolkata Knight Riders beat the MI side by 18 runs in a 16-over game to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. The big Indian stars – Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya – did not have a good day and hence former India cricketer Irfan Pathan took to X and expressed his concern. Claiming that Rohit, Hardik’s form is a ‘big worry’, Irfan hoped the two return back to form soon.

Rohit scored 19 off 24 balls and he looked to be struggling when in the middle. On the other hand, Hardik scored a mere two off four balls.

“Tough one, yeah. As a batting unit, the foundation was there but we could not capitalize after that and keep the momentum up. The wicket was a little up and down and a little tacky so momentum was very important. I think it was a par score, given the conditions, felt that the bowlers did well,” Pandya said at the post-match presentation after the loss.

“Nothing, just to go and enjoy as much as we can and play good cricket, that’s been my motto from the start. I don’t think we’ve played enough good cricket this season,” Hardik answered when asked about the mood in the camp.
