A's pull away late to pound Mariners

Joey Estes pitched five innings to earn his first major league victory as the Oakland Athletics defeated the host Seattle Mariners 8-1 on Saturday night.

Max Schuemann hit a three-run double with two outs in the eighth inning and JJ Bleday added a two-run homer in the ninth as the A's pulled away late.

Cal Raleigh homered for the Mariners, who missed a chance to move pas
