0 key passes, crosses & long balls : Man Utd loanee fails to shine in club’s 3-0 away defeat
Jadon Sancho has greatly revived his career since returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January.
The 24-year-old was banished from the first-team by manager Erik ten Hag following the winger’s controversial post on social media.
The English star removed the post but refused to apologise, which ultimately led him to move to Germany.
However, Sancho looks to have got his career back on track as he is consistently performing well for Dortmund.
The 24-year-old received a lot of praise for his Champions League heroics against Paris Saint-Germain.
But he wasn’t very effective when Dortmund returned to Bundesliga action against Mainz on Saturday.
The Black and Yellow made a dismal start to the away game as they conceded three goals in the opening 23 minutes.
Manager Edin Terzic introduced Sancho after the interval in a bid to make a comeback but the player failed to shine as they fell to a 3-0 defeat.
The winger had 43 touches and lost possession on 11 occasions.
He failed to complete a dribble and won just two of his eight ground duels.
The England international also contributed zero key passes, crosses and long balls but made an interception.
Edin Terzic will be hoping for a better display from Sancho and the other players when they play against Real Madrid in the Champions League final next month.
