Queen's Park's Under 18s finished off their first season in the SFA CAS Elite League with a home game against Heart of Midlothian at Lochinch on Friday.

In what was a typical end of season game, three goals scored in the first half was quickly followed by another ELEVEN in the second half.

Having played three games in less than a week, it was different starting eleven from previous games.

A very warm day greeted both teams to Lochinck, Pollok Park looking resplendent in the spring sunshine.

Seven minutes into the game, somewhat against the run of play, Queen’s scored the first goal. A loose ball out from the Hearts defence was intercepted by Finn Morrow who then played a one-two with Jayden Fitzpatrick before hitting the return low past the keeper’s right from 17 yards out.

Three minutes later the Tynecastle side added a second.

Queen’s pushed to get back in the game, creating a number of chances, without really testing the Hearts keeper.

Three minutes later the score was 4-1 to the Tynecastle side.

Queen’s didn’t let the score detract and pulled one back in the 60th minute when, after good work from Jamie Bradley, the ball was moved to Theo McCormick. Theo hit a low cross for Aiden McGinlay to tap into the corner of the net.

This high scoring game continued in the 65th minute when Hearts restored their three-goal advantage. Their number 9 broke down the left and crossed the ball to number 15 to knock home from seven yards out.
