Maryland weather: Chances of showers to remain high throughout week
Scattered showers are expected until 5 p.m. Mother’s Day before the chance of precipitation drops to 20% Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will start off mostly cloudy but with the clouds expected to clear throughout the day. The high is expected to be 80 degrees. Temperatures will drop to 63 Monday night before the chance of precipitation returns for Tuesday.
Tuesday’s high is forecasted to be 78, and a 70% chance of precipitation is expected with showers and a possible thunderstorm occurring before 2 p.m. The likelihood for showers and a thunderstorm will continue into Tuesday night.
Showers and thunderstorms will remain on the radar headed into Wednesday, when the high will be around 75 and the chance of precipitation around 70%. Wednesday night will hold a chance for showers, and Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 79.
A tornado warning issued by the Maryland Department for Emergency Management for Washington County expired Saturday night.
