Glens Falls man arrested for grand larceny
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Glens Falls man was arrested for grand theft and welfare fraud on Monday, May 13. James Dudley, 33, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree welfare fraud, and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing.
Between October 2021 and September 2022, Dudley allegedly failed to report all of his earned income, and another person was living in his residence on a SNAP recertification document. Police said he obtained $5,271 in cash benefits that he wouldn't have been eligible for.
Dudley was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and released with a pending future court appearance. The Warren County Sheriff's Office and the Warren County Department of Social Services assisted with the investigation.
