The Trinamool Congress filed a complaint with the Election Commission against BJP candidate Abhijit Gangopadhyay for allegedly making sexist remarks about Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. TMC demanded legal action and a ban on him attending public events. Gangopadhyay's comments were condemned as misogynistic and disrespectful towards women in power.
