BJP leader Kirit Somaiya alleged that the Government Railway Police (GRP) granted permission for four additional "illegal" hoardings in Mumbai's Dadar to the company involved in the Ghatkopar billboard collapse. Bhavesh Bhinde, director of the advertising firm, was apprehended in Rajasthan and brought back to Mumbai. Somaiya criticized the lack of transparency in the tender process for the hoardings and claimed irregularities.
