Sunny and warm Friday before heating up this weekend
What We’re Tracking
- Sunny, warm Friday
- Getting hot this weekend
- Few storm chances ahead
Temperatures are starting off in the 50s this morning under clear skies. We are seeing a few patches of low clouds or fog across the area, but not widespread. Still, we could see reduced visibility early on in spots until shortly after sunrise.
We get mostly sunny weather from Friday through at least Sunday with highs in the lower 80s for Friday afternoon. The wind will remain light, so expect it to start feeling a bit warmer.
In fact, highs in the middle to upper 80s by the upcoming weekend with wind becoming more southerly and picking up a bit over the weekend, as well. This will gradually draw up higher humidity into the area making the heat index reach the lower 90s and that will set the stage for some stronger storms early next week. Both late Sunday and late Monday carry the risk of stronger storms if the pattern holds.
