U.S Attorney: Schenectady man traveled to Louisiana to meet minor
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man was indicted Friday, May 10, and is accused of traveling from Albany to Louisiana to engage in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl. Peter Nealon, 66, faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Louisiana, around July 17, 2023, Nealon took a plane from Albany to New Orleans to engage in sexual conduct with a girl he believed to be 15. He also faces at least five years to life of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a mandatory $100 special assessments fee if convicted. He'll also have to register as a sex offender.
