Portion of Zim Smith Trail closing for maintenance

MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Starting on Wednesday, May 22, a portion of the Zim Smith Trail will close for maintenance. The trail will reopen for Memorial Day before closing again to complete the ongoing paving project.

The trail will close from Eastline Road in Malta to Curry Road in Round Lake from Wednesday, May 22, to Friday, May 24, and again from Tuesday, May 28, through Thursday, May 30. Saratoga County employees will complete an overlay paving project that was part of the Saratoga County Sewer District interceptor rehabilitation project.

The restoration project will finish by reseeding the area, which will be completed around Monday, June 24. Trail users can follow the Saratoga County Facebook page for updates and should remain vigilant on the trail by reading signage.
