2 firefighters seriously injured battling blaze in the Bronx: FDNY
BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Two FDNY firefighters were seriously injured battling a house fire in the Bronx on Friday afternoon, according to officials.
Firetrucks and firefighters surrounded the houses as black and grey smoke filled the sky, a video posted to Citizen shows.
The two-alarm fire started in one house and spread to a second nearby home. Officials said both firefighters injured fighting the blaze were taken to Jacobi Hospital.
It remains unclear how the firefighters were injured or what started the fire.
