Wall Street in disarray but Dow Jones gains 134 points

NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks battled to end in the black Friday with only the Dow Jones managing the feat.

The major indices however are still trading near record highs, buoyed by stronger-than-expected economic growth and contracting inflation.

"That's a fairly optimistic setup for at least the near future here in 2024," Tom Hainlin, senior investment strategist at U.S. Bank Asset Management told CNBC
