The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced Rashid Khan’s return to Kabul after four years. Khan is the captain of the national cricket team and a prominent world-class bowler.

Officials of the Afghanistan Cricket Board reported his return to Afghanistan on Saturday, May 18th. Rashid Khan could not travel to the country in recent years due to his busy schedule and participation in various cricket tournaments.

He arrived in Kabul this morning and was warmly welcomed at Kabul International Airport by the Chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board and several players.

It is planned that he will travel to West Indies in the coming days for the venue of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup matches. This comes as Rashid Khan ended his stint with the Gujarat team and returned to the country.

According to reports, the national team will compete against Uganda in their first official match on June 3rd, followed by matches against New Zealand, Namibia, and the West Indies.
