Niamh Moloney has been a key player in the highly successful Dunfermline Water Polo Club (DWPC) Senior Ladies team as well as playing for London Otter club team playing in British league competitions.

In addition to training with DWPC, Niamh Moloney has regularly trained and played throughout 2023 with the Great Britain Senior women squad. Niamh has undertaken extensive travel to attend training camps in England and abroad along with international tournaments against some of the best National Teams in Europe. This has taken a significant personal commitment of time and expense as the squads have very limited funding support. Her hard work, dedication and commitment paid off with Niamh being selected for the 13-player team that ultimately competed at the 2024 European Championships in early Jan 2024. Outstanding results at the Europeans ensured qualification at the 2024 World Championship in Doha, first time in 11 years. A significant achievement for Great Britain Senior women and finishing 11th which bettered the previous performance.

2024 World Championships in Doha with Great Britain Women (11th place finish).
Niamh was awarded the 2023 Scottish Swimming Senior Waterpolo Player of the Year for the 2nd time and in February 2024 became the Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council Sports Personality of the Year for 2023.
Niamh is an outstanding role model to all our younger players as well as the girls throughout the Scotland waterpolo community.
