SIILI Studio

SIILI Studio is a minimalist space located in Zhengzhou, China, designed by MOOI TIMELESS. To create a purer experiential ambiance while addressing the challenge of limited external views, white semi-transparent curtains were employed to shield the nearby high-rises, allowing soft natural light to filter in. This transformation rendered the space immaculate, stripping away the urban density and clutter, gradually enveloping them in a serene sense of relaxation. Neither products nor space should assert dominance. The essence of spatial design focused on ’emptiness’—the part where people can freely roam and experience. Inclusivity was a requisite trait for designing the experiential space. While products remain fixed, the diverse range of experiential occupants necessitated a sense of intimacy and familiarity. Creating an environment of closeness and familiarity alleviated the instinctual guard, allowing occupants to seamlessly meld into the space.
