I cashed in £1,400 on Vinted in a month – the sales poured in when I stopped making a ‘big’ mistake

Rather than just making a few extra pounds, one woman has made over £1400 after realising the ‘big’ mistake she was making.
While most of us struggle to make a sale, this hasn’t been the case for Hollie Hoath.
In a now viral video, the TikTok star revealed that she made the staggering sum in just 30 days (yes, you read that right).
At the height of her sales, her virtual wardrobe was being seen by over 85,000 people on the fashion app.
Rather than gatekeeping how she managed to sell virtually every item she uploads, the Vinted user decided to share her best kept secret in a now viral video.
Though she used many tips from other sellers, she now admits that she underestimated how powerful feedback could be.
She told her followers: “Post as quickly as you can, especially if you are just starting out on Vinted. It will make your feedback look good, because people [will] say that you are fast.”
Though this might seem obvious, good feedback can have a snowball effect and encourage others buy an item simply because of your reviews.
For anyone that is struggling to make it to the post office or drop items off for delivery, it is important that you tell your customers.
Even if you are only able to send items out at certain times of the week, Hollie urges you to add your schedule to every listing so buyers are aware.
Though this might put some people off, this should help maintain a good rating overall on your page.
It’s not just getting feedback that is important though.
Continuing, the super seller revealed that responding to feedback is often crucial too.
In fact, the user admitted that she’d only just started doing this after realising how it could impact her sales.
“My last and finall tip is replying back to feedback and leaving feedback,” she said, revealing that she often allowed Vinted to give automated responses.
Calling this a ‘big mistake’, the content creator explained: “When somebody leaves feedback, people are seeing you on their feedback, so it channels more people to your page.
“People can [also] see that you are interacting [and] that you are active….I’ve found that I’ve had so much more feedback, so many comments on my page since I’ve been leaving people feedback.”
While she might regret this mistake, Hollie has more than made up for the error and has made an impressive amount off the app in a short time.
If you are still struggling to make a sale, she even suggests sharing a photo of someone wearing the clothes – especially if you don’t have one in the listing.
As she has changed sizes, Hollie says she’s struggled to fit into some of her clothes so she’ll often share photos from the original website or store with prospective buyers.
Often, this tip can result in a sale without too much effort.
